Anxiety Disorder; causes and treatment?
ByFrom the hypotheses explaining its causes, what is the MOST ACCEPTABLE cause of this disorder to you? And may I have 2 reasons why?
And what do you think is the most effective (or appropriate) treatment that can be applied?
Anxiety is caused by different types of things,or situations. People suffer from many types of anxiety.I also suffer from anxiety.Really the only treatment there is ,is medication,at least that’s what I’m told.Going to talk to a counselor helps some.

GAD (general anxiety disorder) is associated with irregular levels of neurotransmitters in the brain — chemicals that carry signals across nerve endings such as norepinephrine and serotonin. These irregularities can triggered by stressors in people who are predisposed to high levels of anxiety by hereditary factors and environmental influences; often traumatic events in early life can make a person vulnerable to anxiety disorders. Parenting style, family environment and culture may also influence whether a person is susceptible to developing GAD.
People of certain personality types are more susceptible to anxiety disorders, and, logically, a combination of stressful life situations may trigger excessive anxiety.
Specific medical conditions, such as an overactive thyroid gland, also can produce anxiety and its symptoms, and the stress of coping with a serious illness can lead to excessive worrying. Generalized anxiety disorder also occurs more frequently in people with chronic conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure.
There are two reasons I believe this disorder exists. First the chemicals in the brain are not functioning properly and secondly environmental factors such as personality type and or anything the person is facing at that moment which might cause anxiety to arise.
Why? Because I’ve suffered from it.
The treatment for any disease or disorder is of course based on each person. For most people now days it seems that medication is prescribed. I think that has to do with the fact the mental health care is not easily available in the USA and that our society pushes drugs.
Medication can help, especially if the anxiety is caused by a chemical problem. If it is not, but more situational, then counseling and not medication is the best route. Either way, counseling should ALWAYS be included in the treatment. This will help the person learn to stop and change the anxious feelings and thoughts.
Note – I am not a psychologist, counselor, or psychiatrist.
If you have feelings of anxiety please see your doctor.
