Panic Disorder Treatment can be found in many different places and if you have a few minutes I will show you how you can be rid of Panic Attacks and general Anxiety forever.

Before I show you I would like to tell you a short story of how Panic Attacks affected me and you will soon see the similarities in our situations.

I was about 30 years old and my first-born daughter was probably about 5 months old. We left England around that time to go live in the wonderful Knysna Forest in South Africa. We lived in a quant little cottage a few miles from town surrounded by beautiful trees and a dam. All the exotic birds you can imagine would visit our bottle brush tree in the mornings. It was a perfect start for a wonderful family that was ready to tackle life head on and succeed in making all our dreams come true.

For about a year or so I was experiencing a few of the minor symptoms of anxiety and didn’t feel it necessary to seek a panic disorder treatment yet alone know I had a disorder. Butterflies in the stomach for no reason, shortness of breath and hot and cold sensations. For me they didn’t seem to appear at any specific time or situation. I shrugged these off and continued with my life as if nothing was wrong however, it did concern me but I was too proud to talk to anyone about this.

One perfect evening my wife and I were chatting in bed with the little one between us. A very light hearted chat with the odd giggle, playing with our new born baby then, SMACK!! I get some butterflies in my stomach. It moves on to serious stomach cramps. I start to get very cold and start shaking. I get up to go to the toilet as it feels like I have a case of diarrhoea and need to get there quickly. My legs crumble from under me and I struggle to stand up again as they feel as if they are made from jelly. My wife immediately gets this look of shock on her face as she has never seen this before. I make it to the toilet and sure as heck it’s diarrhoea. Whilst in the bathroom I continue to got from hot to cold and my muscles start to spasm. I finish what I need to do and try to make my way back to the bedroom on legs that feel frozen and like jelly the same time . Does any of this sound familiar?

I’m now shaking uncontrollably and find myself in the featal position clinging onto my wifes hand for dear life with the thoughts of death on the horizon. A strong feeling that I’m about to die. My wife is terrified. What can I do for you babe she says? I can hardly talk as my teeth are chattering away uncontrollably.

I try to follow my breath as I was once tought by my yoga teacher. It’s hard as I’m hyperventalating but my wife helps me through it. I’m exhausted. My breathing begins to normalize slowly but surely. I can’t talk. I’m exhausted. I fall into a peaceful sleep to arrise normally in the morning.

I need to find out what this is and I do. It’s a panic disorder and treatment is needed fast.

This first extreme case of a panic attack scared the life out of me and it would’ve continued to be debillatating if I didn’t seek treatment for this panic disorder. Yes, yours might not be as bad or in fact it might be worse. Mine did not occur at any particular time or event but for some people it does perhaps whilst driving in a car or on a plane or in a shopping mall or even whilst socializing. One thing is for sure, you need a panic disorder treatement.

I found this to be the most successful one and I urge you to go and read what people are saying about it. See the testimonials of these people.

I know you can be cured of anxiety and Panic Attacks. I was!

Yes but it takes time and a lot of effort on your part.

I find if you think two much about it that will stress you out just take it a day at a time and set your self some goals and make yourself achieve them

It will disappear with more confidence, just remember, people have hang us of their own going on and are not totally focused on you

Do something to day to start on the road of deleting this worry from your life and start enjoying it instead.

I dont mean suggestion/clinical hypnotherapy, The hypno analysis one.

If you had this therapy, did you find it worked? Did you find out something you had repressed and had to remember, how did you deal with that? Any more info other than this would be very much appriciated.

Thanks

Rachie

Hallo Rachie.
I am a practising Hypnoanalyst.
It works by getting to the root cause.
I have helped many who suffer from any phobias to frequent Panic Attacks and much more.
It works much more thoroughly than simple therapy, but is a little more costly.
You could expect to pay £600 for 12 one hour sessions, which will get to the root cause, and, in effect, give you a completely fresh start in life.
You will then have no hang ups, fears, phobias… and something else… it will almost guarantee that your weight problem, whether it be too much or little will balance out to the "norm"
Worth £600?
You betchya!
When going through the process you will be confronting that irrational fear, which your mind has repressed.
You will bring it out into the open… face it, relive the "event", and move on with your life.
It is worthwhile just to get rid of all the clutter in our minds.
Well Rachie, I do hope this has painted a clearer picture for you.

has anyone tried panic away? read!?

Posted by: admin | Comments (2)

i have suffered from anxiety and panic disorder for many years now. ive tried medication and see a therapist and it didnt help. so i found this website http://www.panic-away.com/method1.php (panic away) and i was wondering if anyone has tried it and how it worked for them.

I found Panic Away to be very helpful.

When you start reading through Panic Away, you’ll learn about the One Move technique, which is a method you can employ to control and, with practice, eliminate panic attacks from your life. The basic idea of it is that you should stop resisting the panic attack symptoms and allow yourself to feel frightened and anxious. Most of the time resisting a panic attack just makes it worse.

The book breaks the One Move down into a step-by-step routine that is easy to follow. It is a recommended that you practice this before you feel a panic attack coming on. Practice makes perfect and if you have practiced the One Move a few times, you’ll be more prepared to deal with a panic attack when you start to feel anxiety creeping in.

Since Panic Attacks can be very unique from one person to another, the Panic Away book also covers how to apply the One Move to other scenarios in a much broader context, so, even if the source of your anxiety isn’t directly covered, you’ll be given instructions on how to address it.

When you buy Panic Away, you are also given the e-mail address of Barry Joe McDonagh, the creator of Panic Away, so if you find yourself getting stuck anywhere along the way, you can always reach out and get personal help from him. I found the book itself to be very clear, and I never needed the coaching, but it’s good to know that it’s there to make sure you can get the most out of the program.

I’ve been through several treatments and therapies for panic attacks. But no therapy ever really tells me how I can prevent these panic attacks. Is there any way for me to beat these Panic Attacks?

Hi, Martin!
I found the information below about how to deal with panic attacks and want to share it with you. Hope it’ll will be helpful.

The tips are:

-Diet
The more balanced your diet the easier it is for your mind/body relationship to feel strong and secure. There are certain foods that are good at building inner calm and other ones that you need to avoid.

-Exercise
Besides the obvious health and relaxation benefits‚ exercise gives you a sample of what it is like to put your body into an exerted state just as if you were having a panic attack. This way you can learn to become comfortable with the heightened state of exertion without fearing that your body will not be able to handle it.

-Distraction
General anxiety is experienced by many people with panic and anxiety disorders. Distraction helps you to retrain your focus and keep your attention on what is going on around you.

-Elimination anxious thoughts
All people who have ended panic and anxiety in their lives have in some way either intentionally or unintentionally re–trained themselves to think in a positive constructive manner rather than negative spirals of anxious thought.

I have SAD and I recently went to see my doc about it-he has prescribed zoloft as a daily med and Klonopin for when I feel really anxious about going into a certain situation. I have only been on it for 2 weeks and so far have not noticed a change, but I am hoping for the best. Good Luck~

I get anxiety attacks when I feel trapped, so I am nervous about a cruise I’m taking in a couple weeks & the plan ride to get there. Does anyone have any tips for handling Anxiety Attacks while traveling? Medication doesn’t really agree with me, so that’s probably not an option.

I had suffer from anxiety attacks a while ago, the best thing to do is not to think of them, if before u go on the plane or the cruise u are already thinking that u are gonna have an anxiety attack, u are programming yourself…..just be optimistic about it, dont think about them…if u have one..the best thing to do, that works with me…think that it will soon pass….just dont loose ur head….it will pass it will pass….and if u have a partner, couple….try to talk about anything….anything at all…the worts thing is to be left alone with yourself and your nervous mind. Talk to the guy next to you..sing a song…anything…to distract for a moment your mind.

In the past few years anxiety has taken over my life. I’ve always had a touch of anxiety but could always overpower it before. That is not the case anymore. The anxiety makes it very hard to socialize. I really want to socialize and used to really enjoy it. I feel like I do not have any friends anymore because of my anxiety and it makes me depressed. This seems to create a snowball effect.

The depression and anxiety is up and down. I have the highs and the lows, but lately I’ve been having more lows than highs. It is becoming unbearable. I’ve tried Zoloft before but it made it worse. I’m scared to try another prescription medication.

My question is, if you have had experience (good or bad) with a certain prescription medication and/or herbal treatment, could you give me some advice? I’m open to almost anything.

I should add that I do the typical things for depression such as working out, taking vitamin D3, getting enough sleep, fish oil, etc. The only thing that seems to be lacking from this approach is the social aspect, which is something I cannot avoid at this point.
Ginny Jin, I agree. I would rather stay away from prescription meds because of the risks and side effects, but I’m desperate at this point. I’m ready to have my life back.
Effie Hogarth, your website link didn’t work
Thanks for the great answers. I wish I could choose all 3, as they were all very helpful. I am going to choose ginny jin’s answer because I think I will use her advice the most.

Update: My boyfriend did some research and bought me kava kava and rhodiola rosea. I have some black cohosh and will try that if these others don’t seem to work. If all else fails I will try another antidepressant.

I take Spirulina (google it). This is a Superfood they give people in hospices to give energy. It was recommended to me by a health professional. For mood try St John’s Wort. Black Cohosh is good too.

For me – Prescription medication = liver damage

Treatment for Panic? Please Help..

Posted by: admin | Comments (9)

Hi, would anyone know if there is a natural or herbal remedy for panic? For the past 4 years or so I have been avoiding lots of places where there is alot of people around or the place is hard to escape (like the middle of the mall or something), because right away i start to panic and my heart starts pounding and i get dizzy and start to feel faint (almost like im just about to pass out but i never actually faint), most of the time the feeling will happen, but then on occasion it will quickly pass once i get used to the setting im in or the place is easy to escape. These little spells only last like a few seconds to a minute. I know it sounds weird but i also KNOW its all im my head. Im not depressed or anything i just want to go back to public places and not have to worry about getting those horrible feelings at all. And it mainly only happends when im not in my comfort zone (like house or at work). I dont feel like going to a psychologist and have them throw me on anti-depressents but if its a last resort i might consider (if it works). I’m 0 sure that there is nothing physicaly wrong with me, its just fear. What would you call this kind of thing? Panic Attack? Panic Disorder? Anxiety? Anxiety Disorder? Agoraphobia? or just plain Fear? Please if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it. I can’t continue living this way because it will only get worse as it already is. Thank You!

In Wikipedia, the definition of agoraphobia is given as: "Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to their home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."

That does sound like what you are describing. I’m not a doctor, but I think maybe you have agoraphobia plus Panic Attacks. You should probably see a doctor and/or a counselor if this does not go away. I had something similar to this when I was 13-14 years old, and basically didn’t leave the house apart from when I had to go to school (and I tried to get out of doing that too).

Re. natural remedies, many people like to use aromatherapy for anxiety and panic attacks. This can both help to keep calm and relaxed generally so that you are less likely to get these attacks, and can also be used when you feel an attack coming on.

Lavender is good, and so are helichrysum (also known as everlasting or immortelle), frankincense, and marjoram. You can put a few drops of one or a combination of two or more oils in a warm bath to relax you at night. Or mix a few drops of aromatic oil with a larger amount of grapeseed or olive oil and massage into your skin.

You can carry a small bottle of lavender (or other) oil with you and put a couple of drops on a tissue to inhale when you start feeling panicky.

Also, both for prevention and acute cases, you should breathe deeply and slowly. Practice the yoga breathing technique where your stomach expands when you breathe in and contracts when you breathe out (the opposite of how most people breathe). In the beginning, hold one hand on your stomach and the other on your chest and start the process by breathing in while your stomach goes out, etc. Then it will come naturally.

This breathing technique is a great way to calm down by lowering your heart rate and blood pressure.
