Hi, Martin!
I found the information below about how to deal with panic attacks and want to share it with you. Hope it'll will be helpful.

The tips are:

-Diet
The more balanced your diet the easier it is for your mind/body relationship to feel strong and secure. There are certain foods that are good at building inner calm and other ones that you need to avoid.

-Exercise
Besides the obvious health and relaxation benefits‚ exercise gives you a sample of what it is like to put your body into an exerted state just as if you were having a panic attack. This way you can learn to become comfortable with the heightened state of exertion without fearing that your body will not be able to handle it.

-Distraction
General anxiety is experienced by many people with panic and anxiety disorders. Distraction helps you to retrain your focus and keep your attention on what is going on around you.

-Elimination anxious thoughts
All people who have ended panic and anxiety in their lives have in some way either intentionally or unintentionally re–trained themselves to think in a positive constructive manner rather than negative spirals of anxious thought.
References :
http://panicaway.express-info.com

Ive suffered with anxiety and panic for 15yrs. Ive tried drugs from my doctor but feel they dont help! Everyone has something that helps when in full panic mode its just finding what helps. Mine is going for a walk when im panicking or playing a game on the pc or my sons ds as i find if i concentrate on that it tends to help keep the mind off my palputations and chest pain etc. Sometimes drinking cold water helps as our brains cant cope with doing two things at once. I personaly feel that websites that offer instant relief and cures are rubbish ok they maybe help some but its what comes from within us that cures and helps ourselves. plus anysite that claims they can cure us in 5 mins for a one off payment is so very wrong!
References :
Try Clonazepam it helps prevents panic attacks and makes you think less of having one.I have tried a bunch of medication and found Clonazepam to work for me.It is different for everyone though if it doesn't work at first ask the doctor if you can take a higher dosage. You may want to try Vyvanse or however you spell it for adhd.I have adhd but would still say try both at the same time it could work wonders.I have improved a lot over the past month.
References :
At the first sign of one, employ an ANTI PANIC ATTACK breathing technique. Advice from a clinical psychologist is to breathe in to the count of 3: (one thousand one; one thousand two; one thousand three) each takes around a second to say to yourself, in your mind, and out to the count of 3. Keep repeating this until the panic subsides, which will deal with the hyperventilation aspect. View http://deeplyrelax.com & www.deepsloweasy.com/html/intro.htm Note: the controlled breathing only helps with the symptoms, as do medications/herbal remedies. Address the underlying cause, which requires some form of therapy; see your-mental-health.8m.com, below, re anxiety, on pages 1, h, & i. Page h shows the difference between panic, and anxiety attacks.

Read: When Panic Attacks: The New, Drug-Free Anxiety Therapy That Can Change Your Life, by David D. Burns (2007), & Panic Attacks Workbook: A Guided Program for Beating the Panic Trick by David Carbonell, & "Power Over Panic", by Bronwyn Fox, from your bookstore, or enter "panic attacks" in the searchbar at Amazon.com for more media. Some people recommend nettle tea, with a little honey. Others use Lavender tea, Lemon Balm, Chamomile, but use no milk or cream with herbal teas, or Valerian (caution: use it for 3 weeks at most!). Know how these affect you before driving, or doing anything dangerous, and it is far better to use the treatments, rather than relying on herbal remedies. Free online PANIC COURSE - www.panic-attacks.co.uk also available by email. See the section on panic attacks at www.mind.org.uk also Ebooklet form. They recommend letting a panic attack run its course, without doing anything to treat it, so you KNOW you will survive it. The usual maximum is 30 minutes, until symptoms begin to subside.
